Unit Standards: 6402 and 6401
Time Commitment: 8 hours in-class practical
This course is ideal for those seeking basic first aid skills for the home, low-risk workplaces, or general preparedness.
Topics Covered:
Provide Basic Life Support (US 6402 v9): Cardiac arrest (including CPR & AED use), unconsciousness, choking, severe bleeding (including the use of a tourniquet) and shock
Provide First Aid (US 6401 v7) – Recognising and managing common illnesses and injuries.
